Battle of the Books 2019: Read. Compete. Have fun!

Do you have what it takes to compete? The Durham Region public libraries (Ajax, Clarington, Oshawa, Pickering, Scugog, Uxbridge & Whitby) are once again excited to present the TD Canada Trust Battle of the Books, this April!

Battle of the Books is a partnership between public libraries and schools in Durham Region that aims to motivate and challenge students who enjoy reading. Teams have a chance to register up until Monday, January 28 at the junior (grades 4-6) and senior (grades 7-8) levels.

Battle of the Books is an exciting competition, generously sponsored by TD Canada Trust, which tests young readers on their knowledge of a reading list made up of 30 books. Included in this year’s reading list are Kenneth Grahame’s The Wind in the Willows at the junior level, and Ransom Riggs’ Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children at the senior level.

Rules and Booklists for the Junior division and Senior division are available now.
