Library Service Updates

Updated on April 1, 2021

As the province of Ontario has moved into a 4 week shutdown, all Oshawa Public Libraries branches will be closed for browsing in-library collections and study and leisure spaces. Library Take-Out (curbside pick-up) and print-on-demand services will remain available at all four library branches.
External book return chutes are open at all branches.
For more information on Library Take-Out services, visit here.

Please note that physical distancing, proper hand hygiene, and wearing a non-medical face mask or face covering are required while visiting the Library.

Health and Safety

The health and safety of our community and staff is our top priority.  When you visit the Library, we ask that you follow recommendations from Durham Region Health Department on how to protect yourself and others, and reduce the spread of COVID-19:

  • Physical distancing, proper hand hygiene, and wearing a non-medical face mask or face covering is required while visiting the Library.
  • Remember:  Wash or sanitize your hands frequently, cough or sneeze into your elbow, avoid touching your face, and practice physical distancing.
  • Anyone experiencing COVID-19 symptoms must postpone their library visit and call Telehealth or their health care provider to be assessed.
